21.06.2007 Festival of Kozma Prutkov’s Humour - 20-22 July 2007, Sol’vychegodsk
Sol’vychegodsk is a town of literary heritage. Just close to Sol’vychegodsk on the 11th of April 1801 a lyric poet, philosopher, nation-wide favorite, Kozma Prutkov "was born" thanks to a rich imagination of brothers Zhemchuzhnikov and Alexey Tolstoj.
In 1998 the idea to held the Festival of Kozma Prutkov’s Humour appeared. The mission of the festival is to attract attention to the historical, cultural and literary heritage of Sol’vychegodsk, to raise the local society’s interest to their native town’s destiny.
The Festival traditionally involves different parts of town, there are several festival stages focused to satisfy any interests and pretensions of different social and age groups, practically simultaneously a huge rang of activities are held. |
