More than 20 participants, including heads of the District and local municipalities’ administrations, directors of cultural institutions, hotels, directors of folklore ensembles were present at the seminar. A decision was made to create a working group on the village tourism development in the District area, as well as on the advertising tour for tour operators and mass media in August, 2007.

More than 30 participants, including heads of the District and local municipalities’ administrations, directors of cultural institutions came to the seminar. Reports and video presentations on the perspectives of tourism development in the areas were made by L.I. Morozova, the deputy head of the Kargopol District Administration, and E.A.Kozmina, the deputy head of the Culture and Tourism Department of the Konosha District. The results of the seminar and of the visit to the potential tourist attractions were discussed at ‘round-table’ talks.

Within the framework of the meeting a ‘round-table’ discussion was held on «Perspectives of village tourism in the District» where they discussed the existing models of the ‘in’-tourism in the villages as effective resources of local budgets and population employment. The business programme also included presentation of the tourist potential of the village of Kimzha. More than 40 people took part in the meeting, among them members of International Relation Committee, representatives of municipalities’ administrations, heads of the Territorial Community Counsels, directors of the tourist companies and tourist complexes.

On June 3 – 6, the «Pomor-Tour» Tourist Company backed by the Committee on International Relations and Tourism Development of the Arkhangelsk Region held a seminar to advertise and inform the Russian specialists and branch mass media on tourism within the framework of the social and economic target programme of the Arkhangelsk Region called «Tourist potential of the Arkhangelsk Region».

The aim of the seminar was to promote tourism and recreation resources of the Arkhangelsk Region in a wider Russian market. More than 54 representatives of Russian tourist companies from Moscow, Ivanovo, Perm, Kirov, Saint-Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Samara, Tver, Smolensk, and Yekaterinburg took part in the seminar. There was a blitz-poll of the results of the seminar held.
