Folk choirs of Arkhangelsk region took part in the festival: Pinezhskiy, Karpogorskiy, Leshukonskiy, Mezenskiy, the team of the museum “Malye Karly” and jazz-band “Sever” conducted by Tim Dorofeev.

The main idea of the event was to preserve and develop ethnic, folk song culture and to combine it with modern music trends, to fulfill the creative potential of the festival’s participants, to raise the general level of music culture, and to support and promote young musicians and performers.
The musicians gave themselves a task to show the whole rich variety of musical and sense images, which exist in folk music, to open the infinity and diversity of its world-views and conditions by intensifying it with eclecticism and synthesis of ethnic sound of jazz improvisations.

The Festival is planned to become the annual meeting place for creative teams and ethnic unions with the participation of foreign partners.
