The seminar “Baltic Connecting”, which is annually held in Riga with the support of Latvian airline “AirBaltic”, represents a universal platform for business negotiations between companies according to the beforehand prospected schedule. This year this event united more than 200 tourist companies and associations from all the European and Asian directions which are served by the “AirBaltic” airline.

Arkhangelsk region was presented as a separate sector in the event. Within the bounds of the seminar representatives of the region delegation held more than 30 business meetings with the representatives of tourist companies in Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, USA, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan on issues of potential cooperation within the sphere of incoming tourism in the region and inclusion of Arhangelsk region in the programs of combined tours around Russia for foreign tourists. In the course of negotiations foreign partners were also presented the concept of Arhangelsk International Tourist Forum, which will take place in Arhangelsk from 25th to 28th May 2011. The event aroused a great interest of foreign tourist companies including the opportunity of live acquaintance with tourist resources of Arhangelsk region and prospects of region partnership’s widening.

The region delegation’s participation in the seminar was arranged by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism of Arkhangelsk Region within the cooperation with the Latvian airline “AirBaltic”.
