The home at 21 Chastellux Avenue in Newport sold for $7.1 million, making it the second-highest sale in Newport County year to date and the highest non-waterfront sale in Newport since 2020,

The Tree House, located at 708 Bellevue Avenue, sold for $4.7 million. According to data maintained by the Rhode Island Statewide MLS, the transaction marked the second highest sale in Newport year to date.

The Unit 6 condominium at 575 Tuckerman Avenue in Middletown sold for $3.45 million, which, according to the statewide MLS records, is the highest sale ever at Bancroft-on-the-Bluffs and the highest sale of a condominium in Rhode Island this year.
Bancroft-on-the-Bluffs is a former estate designed by William Ralph Emerson in 1895 on Easton’s Point and converted to nine luxury condominium units in 2007 with an award-winning historical renovation of the shingle-style architecture. Sited between puddingstone outcroppings, the Olmsted gardens were also restored.

An original Newport mansion designed by Richard Upjohn, Villalon is on the National Register of Historic Homes. Once a summer residence for Hamilton Hoppin of New York, a businessman and scion of a prominent Rhode Island family, the estate was said to be an inspiration to notable architect Richard Morris Hunt.

McKim of famed McKim, Mead & White, in 1876 for his father-in-law, a New York and Boston businessman whose summer cottage Bayside was nearby on Washington Street.
The carriage house was thoughtfully renovated in 2005 by Newport Collaborative
Architects. The residence includes five bedrooms and 4½ baths, a first-floor
office with fireplace, sun-filled living room with large stone fireplace, a lookout
