Are you one of those who lamented the demise of 162-year-old Robinsons, the grand dame of departmental stores in October last year? Great news, Robinsons is back – online – of course!

Known for its wide range of products from home, international fashion brands, shoes, personal care, toys to everything in between, homegrown department store Robinsons was also known for its quality products.

I hold good memories of the friendly and approachable sale ‘aunties’ who hovered outside the fitting room when I bought my first bras during my growing up years. When kitting out my first home, I trawled the department store for mattresses, home appliances and more. Many hours were spent hunting down the perfect Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephew in the store. My last shopping trip at Robinsons, in which I replaced old towels, bedsheets, kitchen items and undergarments, happened just one week before the announcement of the department store throwing in the towel.
