 |  | MUSEUM OF «KUDENIK» SCHOOL-STUDIO
It is in the settlement of Konyovo, 100 km from the District centre. One can get by car there. The activities’directions are the regional history, ethnography, traditional local crafts and arts, master-classes. Based on the School’s produce the Pokrovskaya Fair is held annually. The Fair programme includes competitions in ‘small forms’ architecture, exhibitions and sales of folk artisans’ goods, concerts of folk ensembles. |

 |  | «ETERNAL FIRE» AND MEMORIAL COMPLEX
The Complex was erected to honour those who died while on service. The authors of the complex are Major A.S.Bashtovoy, Captain V.D.Gaitrov. 54 servicemen were buries there. The Complex was founded in 1973. «The Eternal Fire» was ignited in 1979 during the ceremonial opening on November 7. |

 |  | «KOSMOS-1000»
On March 31,1978, the personnel of the military unit under commandment of Ya.P. Savko made a jubilee launch of the «Kosmos-1000» satellite. To make it a page in the history of garrison it was decided to open a monument. Its author and sculptor is Major Yu.A. Zakharchenko. The monument was unveiled on November 19, 1978. |

 |  | OBOZERSKY
The town is situated on the north-east shore of the Obozero Lake, where the river Vaimuga starts. The lake is an interesting natural phenomenon – from time to time its waters disappear through clefts into the underground hollow places and then appear again. The place is very popular with lovers of water tourism. |

 |  | THE «KENOZERSKY» NATIONAL PARK
Located in the transportation ‘corridor’ Oulu-Karelia-Arkhangelsk, it has got a dense network of cordons and equipped parking areas, two visit-centres, a children’s ecological camp. The administrative centre of the Plesetsk Section of the Park is in the village of Vershinino. The Park can boast of the largest number of cult monuments of the Russian wooden architecture concentrated in a small area (more than 70 monuments of the 16th - 19th centuries). For more details... |
